Elizabeth A. Gray, DVM
Veterinarian/Owner
Dr. Elizabeth Gray was born in Kentucky and graduated from the Tuskegee School of Veterinary Medicine in 1997. She began working at Hope Mills Road Animal Hospital in 1999 and left in 2001. In 2008, she returned with her son and has since purchased the practice in 2017. Dr. Gray is grateful to have a dedicated and supportive staff that provides excellent care to their patients and the community.
At home, she shares her space with three dogs and two cats, and she enjoys training her dog for Rally courses. In her free time, Dr. Gray participates in mission work in Honduras and loves to go diving whenever possible.
Melanie J. Silvious, D.V.M.
Veterinarian
Dr. Melanie Silvious is originally from upstate New York, but she moved to North Carolina to attend the North Carolina State College of Veterinary Medicine. After graduating in 2003, Dr. Silvious started working at Hope Mills Road Animal Hospital. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, two daughters, and their dogs, cats, and guinea pigs.

Business Manager
Barbara has been with HMRAH as the Business Manager since 1996. She moved to Fayetteville from Key West, Florida in 1989 and has been working in the Veterinary Management Field since that time. She finds working closely with clients and their pets very rewarding and could not imagine spending her workdays anywhere else. When not behind the front desk at the clinic she enjoys time spent at the beach.
Melody
Office Manager
Melody brings over three decades of experience to the veterinary field, having started her career in the late 80s when her family veterinarian, the dearly departed Dr. Ivan Cunningham, took a chance on a 16-year-old kid. Her journey began in Southern Maryland, followed by a year-long stint at Animal Urgent Care (has been renamed Points East Veterinary Emergency Hospital), here in Fayetteville, NC. Since 1992, Melody has been a valued member of the HMRAH team. Throughout her career, Melody has demonstrated remarkable versatility, successfully performing duties as a kennel attendant, veterinary assistant, receptionist, inventory manager, and office manager. She consistently embraces new challenges and is always eager to lend a helping hand in any area of the practice. Furthermore, Melody is dedicated to knowledge sharing, readily offering her expertise and insights to both the staff and our valued clients, ensuring a supportive and well-informed environment for everyone.
Melody and husband Brian currently share their home with three affectionate cats, two loving Boxers, one majestic, but goofy Cane Corso, and a particularly opinionated, yet lovable, Chihuahua mix.
